Monkey Mia Dolphins and Shark Bay

The dolphins of Monkey Mia are a huge draw card for Denham and the Shark Bay region in general. Denham is the closest town to Monkey Mia Beach and most visitors base themselves here as a result.

You've probably heard that the dolphins come right into the beach to be fed each day and offer tourists a great photographic opportunity. Many people come here for no other reason and they don't leave disappointed.

But Monkey Mia is only part of the story. You'll frequently be visited by our dolphins whilst you're simply out fishing on Shark Bay. Many people also take the opportunity to take a dolphin & wildlife cruise on a luxurious catamaran and invariably see lots of dolphins, dugong and other marine curiosities which are found around Shark Bay.

Not many people have seen a mother dolphin with a newly born baby.... let alone this close. Yet opportunities like this are almost commonplace around Shark Bay. No wonder so many people come to Denham, Monkey Mia Beach and the Shark Bay region. Getting close to the dolphins is something you'll treasure for the rest of your life.
