Fishing in Shark Bay

You can count on catching fish!

You don't come to Shark Bay "hoping" to catch fish. No sir! When you go fishing around here you really expect to catch lots of fish and we mean really big fish like this lovely Golden Trevally. These American guests enjoyed this special moment before releasing this beauty back into the sea.

Well it's pretty obvious that we have some pretty big fish around here in Shark Bay. So it naturally follows that you'll need a larger than average bait. These two guests are preparing to put this "northern pilchard" onto a set of ganged hooks before heading out into the bay to try their luck.

And these happy twins seem pretty pleased with their catch. After rubbing it down with a little oil they'll probably bang this fish on the barbie back at Shark Bay Holiday Cottages. Wow, now this is really living!

The Coral Trout is one of the nicest fish you'll ever eat. Is this one big enough to feed your family? No? Well I guess you'll just have to catch an additional one so you have enough to go around.

He won't have exaggerate by a single millimetre when relating his holiday fishing adventures to classmates back at school. We reckon this photograph ought to be convincing enough. If not he can just show them the cuts in his fingers where the line sizzled out at a thousand miles an hour!

Do you reckon this guest will be back for another spot of fishing in Shark Bay? We reckon it's virtually guaranteed, don't you? And what a shame this huge spanish mackerel was too long to fit in the photo.... oh well, we've had some photography lessons since then!
