  • Q: How do I make a booking?
    A: You can book online via our website or call (08) 9948 1206 during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm). For after-hours bookings, call 0448 753 314.

    Q: What are your payment terms?
    A: To secure your booking, we require a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% will be automatically charged 30 days prior to your arrival. If you book within 30 days of arrival, the full amount is due at booking.

    Q: Is there a booking fee?
    A: Yes, we add a booking fee of $38.50 to direct bookings.

    Q: Is there a surcharge for paying by card?
    A: Yes, a 1% surcharge applies to all card payments.

    Q: What is your cancellation policy?
    A:

    • Cancel more than 30 days before arrival → no charge.

    • Cancel less than 30 days before arrival → no refund.

    • There is no refund for early departures.
      All cancellations must be made in writing to hello@sharkbaycottages.com.au.

  • Q: What are your check‑in and check‑out times?
    A: Check‑in is from 2:00 pm. Check‑out is 9:30 am.
    If you arrive after hours, you’ll receive instructions via email on how to access your cottage.

    Q: Is self check‑in available?
    A: Yes — our cottages are self check‑in. You’ll receive your cottage name, a park map, and key box details in your confirmation email. Keys are located in the key box at your cottage door.

    Q: What should I do at check‑out?
    A: Please leave your key in the same lockbox. Before leaving, wash and put away dishes, and clear out fridges. The cottage should be left in a respectful condition.

  • Q: What kinds of cottages do you offer?
    A: We have 12 self‑contained cottages, ranging from studios (suitable for two) to 3-bedroom cottages sleeping up to 8. All cottages include cooking facilities, air-conditioning, linen, and their own verandah with ocean views.

    Some examples:

    • Studio / 1‑bedroom: Manta Ray, Dolphin etc.

    • Beachfront / 2‑3 bedroom: Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Pink Snapper, Stingray, Turtle, Bluebone, etc.

    Please note, we are currently renovating our cottages with new kitchens. During this time, not all of our cottages have full kitchens. We have done our best best to accommodate each cottage with air fryers and other cooking equipment to make your stay enjoyable.

    Q: Do you have caravan sites?
    A: Yes. We have 10 caravan bays: 2 powered and 8 unpowered, suitable for self-sufficient vans up to 8 metres (including tow hitch). Please note that there are no toilet or kitchen facilities on the caravan sites; your vehicle must be self-sufficient.

    Q: What shared facilities are available?
    A: Onsite amenities include:

    • Guest laundry (coin‑operated)

    • Two BBQ areas & outdoor fireplace (when permitted)

    • Free Wi-Fi in public/park areas

    • Parking for cars & boats

    • Kayak and SUP hire

    • Airport transfer service (book in advance)

    Q: Do you offer cots or high chairs for babies?
    A: Yes, we offer cot hire for $33 per stay. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require a cot so we can ensure it’s set up in your cottage before arrival.

  • Q: Are pets allowed?
    A: Yes, we are pet friendly. Up to 2 dogs per booking are allowed. There is a $20 per pet per night fee. Dogs must not be left unattended and must comply with our pet agreement.

    Q: What are noise and behaviour rules?
    A: We have a noise curfew at 10:30 pm. Please be mindful of other guests—voices carry after dark. Walking pace (8 km/h) is the speed limit in the park. No fishing cleaning is allowed on site or in cottages (fish cleaning station is located across the road). Smoking is strictly prohibited inside cottages. Ash trays are provided for outdoor smoking.

    Q: Are housekeeping/room servicing included?
    A: Since we are self-contained accommodation, daily servicing is not provided. You may request linen and towel replacement during your stay only if your booking is 7 nights or more — this is accommodated on request during business hours.

    A: For emergencies or after-hours needs, call 0448 753 314 (on‑site management). If you require immediate emergency assistance, please call 000 for ambulance, fire or police.

  • Q: Where are the cottages located?
    A: We are located on Knight Terrace, Denham, Western Australia, directly across from the beach in the heart of Denham.

    A: You will be close to many of Shark Bay’s highlights:
